Foi lançado, recentemente, o Programa de Piscicultura Continental de Antonina e Região. O lançamento oficial ocorreu na reunião do CMDR-Conselho Municipal de Desenvolvimento Rural, no dia 27 de julho (coincidência ou não, é a data em que se comemora o dia do agricultor), com a presença de vários produtores rurais.
A piscicultura é uma evolução da pesca extrativa, assim como a agricultura é a evolução do extrativismo vegetal. A diferença é que, no Brasil, a agricultura vem se desenvolvendo há 500 anos e a piscicultura ainda está "engatinhando" em muitas regiões do país.

It was recently released the Continental Aquaculture Program of Antonina and Region. The official launch took place at the meeting of the “MCRD” (Municipal Council for Rural Development), on July 27th (coincidence or not, is the date that marks the day of the agriculturist) in the presence of several little farmers.
Fish farming is an evolution of extractive fishing, as well as agriculture is the development of the extraction plant. The difference is that in Brazil, agriculture has been developed for 500 years and the fish farming is still "crawling" in many regions of the country.

Tão logo a poluição na baía desça a níveis aceitáveis, o Programa deverá ser ampliado, incluindo tanques-rede e outros ambientes produtivos na baía.

Fish farming (or, generally, aquaculture) Continental is one that grows in ponds, while mariculture is one that occurs at sea, or in bays. As soon as the pollution in the bay down to acceptable levels, the program should be expanded, including cages and other productive environments in the bay.

The working group of Continental Fish farming has been meeting to identify the best ways for the program. To assist in this task it’s going to be programmed a Seminar later this year, addressing the issues of greatest importance for the effective implementation of the activity and Antonina and Region.
